Grace Governance Solutions Ltd was formed in 2003 specifically to provide
products and services to risk managers, internal auditors and health and safety
officers employed in public sector organisations. Currently our products are
used by over 200 organisations in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
Peter Williams MBA FCCA CPFA CertEd
Peter is the Managing Director of Grace Governance Solutions Ltd. Before
establishing Gracegs Ltd he taught accounting, auditing, risk and financial
management at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels at a number of
universities, rising to the position of Professor. Working as an independent
internal audit and risk management consultant, Peter has completed numerous
assignments for a wide range of companies, financial institutions and public
sector organisations. He has worked, taught and provided professional courses in
Europe, the Middle East and the USA.
In collaboration with a number of local authorities in the United Kingdom, Peter
has compiled over 200 generic risk and control profiles covering public sector
services, functions and departments. Current profiles are regularly updated and
new profiles are created as requested by subscribers or when new services and
responsibilities are introduced. Peter was the co-developer of Governance Risk
and Control Evaluation (GRACE) software using experience and expertise gained in
the development of risk evaluation and management software used in the financial
services and public sectors.
Ian Herbert BSc PhD
Ian is the Technical Manager of Grace Governance Solutions Ltd. He moved into
database design and computer programming after an initial career in the chemical
industry. Working in the service, manufacturing and public sectors, he has
developed and implemented a variety of data-driven applications. Ian also has
particular expertise in the developing applications based on Microsoft Office
products, particularly Excel and Access.
Ian has added functionality to Grace and Harriet in response to user requests
including email alerts when there are changes in risk levels. In 2012 he
developed the web-based versions of the Grace and Harriet software.
Habib Y Chamas MBA Grad.Dip.Acc Grad. Dip. Fin. Admin CPA JP(NSW)
Habib, of Baal Services Pty Ltd, is the Business Manager Australasia & Middle East for Grace Governance Solutions Ltd. He has broad experience in finance and accounting as well as in Information Technology management at the three tiers of government in Australia. He has hands on experience in corporate governance, strategic business planning, change management and training, as well as financial modelling and hands-on programming in 3rd and 4th generation computer languages.
Habib worked his way as an analyst programmer from the private and the public sector in Australia. He has over 25 years experience in the public sector at the federal, state and local government. He was Director of Finance in the Special Broadcasting Service (Federal govt.) and also in the Sydney Catchment Authority. He was Financial Planning Manager in Sydney Water, representing the organisation on overseas projects, and was Manager, Information & Customer Service for Liverpool City Council for many years, managing 55 staff.
In his recent role at Auburn City Council, he was the Manager of Audit and Information Control, where he helped set up a risk management framework and systems as well as establishing a governance framework for the council.
He has strong people management, negotiations, and communication skills. He is proficient in the use of most common Financial Systems, Desktop tools, Application Systems, and has long experience in broadcasting and TV production. He reads and writes fluently in English, French, and Arabic.
